Zombies Attack Lincoln University

Posted by Andrea Lake on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, In : Zombie
I never thought I would see signs of a zombie apocalypse at Lincoln  University, but this film has been a viral phenomenon and created a wealth of publicity for Lincoln Uni.

The young man who made this film, while failing to portray a believable character, still managed to create an engaging and admirable piece of film, drawing on popular media and culture in order to create the perfect environments for sharing his skills.

If I might give my dear friend "K" a piece of advice... Vampires!  Vam...

A Tryst with a Sire

Posted by Andrea Lake on Sunday, December 9, 2012, In : Vampire
This week's episode of Vampire Diaries held a twist that I did not see coming!

Caroline, who everyone assumes is the typical blonde bombshell is repeatedly underestimated, but she's the one who works out why Elena has altered so dramatically since she became a vampire.  It's all to do with the sire bond and once it was explained, even I was thinking, "Why didn't I consider that before?"

Sometimes I Wish Life Had a Pause Button

Posted by Andrea Lake on Sunday, November 11, 2012, In : Regular
It has been such a busy month for me.  Becoming a grandparent was probably my scariest moment and in spite of my best efforts my daughter refused to call her daughter Wednesday.  :(  Well, she was born on Halloween, so I thought it was appropriate!

Posted by Andrea Lake on Saturday, June 2, 2012, In : Vampire
Anyone who "True"ly knows me knows how much I love this series and I am absolutely bummed that I don't live Stateside.  If I did, I would be enjoying the delights of Sookie, Eric, Bill and Alcide (not to mention Lafayette, Hoyt and Jason) that little bit sooner!

This series originally sprang from the works of Charlaine Harris who has written a whole series of books on "The Southern Vampire Mysteries".  The books are written from the first person viewpoint of Sookie Stackhouse, although Alan Ba...

Yay! Sky's Been Fixed

Posted by Andrea Lake on Sunday, April 29, 2012, In : Regular
Well, it has been an incredible couple of weeks here at La Maison Supernatural Supermarket.  I've been quite lost without Sky, but as an apology we've been given the added incentive of six months' worth of movies.  I quite like the sound of that but with life so hectic I haven't had a minute to really enjoy much.

The only film I've managed to watch so far is Resident Evil: Afterlife which was pretty amazing!  Of course, being a fan of the games and genre is par for the course and the graphics ...
